ABOUT SARETTA

Saretta’s founder and creative director Sarah Bond had previously found it difficult to find jewellery that inspired and excited her and so she embarked on a voyage of discovery to search for such qualities that could form the basis of a beautiful jewellery collection.

Growing up amongst an artistic family in the English countryside, it is not surprising that her key inspirations come from nature, the sea and other organic forms.

Saretta jewellery is statement jewellery, with unique and unashamedly bold designs that are made to be noticed. Sarah aims to create jewellery that make heads turns and upstages others with their originality and flare.

9ct and 18ct coloured golds and silvers (all London hallmarked*) are the main precious metals used in the jewellery, together with a variety of precious and semi-precious gemstones to accentuate the designs.

Saretta specializes in one-offs and offers a bespoke jewellery service. The jewellery is proudly individual and therefore each collection piece is part of a limited edition**, which means it will retain its exclusivity and charm.

Whether bespoke, one-off or part of a collection, each piece of jewellery created has a story; Sarah is renowned for her dynamic use of jewellery making techniques.

Most of the designs are created in or carved out of wax (using the lost-wax technique), then they are cast in to precious metals to finally be worked on in the metal form.

ETHICAL JEWELLERY POLICY

Saretta jewellery is committed to making high-end jewellery with a strong emphasis adhering to our ethical, human rights and environmental policy.

Saretta’s Creative Director, Sarah Bond will only use ethical bullion dealers that are accredited members of London Bullion Market Association, this ensures clean bullion from socially and environmentally responsible mines. Sarah designs and creates all the jewellery herself in the Hatton Garden studio.

Saretta only uses diamonds and precious stones that come from reliable sources and are certified as non-conflict diamonds as sanctioned by the Kimberley Process. By following these rules she has faith in the stones that she uses and is comfortable knowing that they come from ethical sources which can be traced directly back to the mine.

‘The industry has come under fire recently for the numbers of hands that these precious stones pass through and I am not party to that. I like to cut out the middle man and will endeavour to source my own stones, whenever possible. It is then my sole responsibility to ensure that that the stones are from ethical and socially responsible sources.’

‘Everything I make has a clear conscience and this is fundamental to my business; for me this makes the jewellery more beautiful.’ Sarah Bond, Creative Director.
